The vehicle was purchased via OVE (where “BUYING WITH CONFIDENCE” is now NIL). A call was made asking about pick-up, the selling dealership said the vehicle was in SERVICE and wasn’t ready. An email was made to AAA DALLAS asking if this deal was still a good deal and if we had anything to worry about since the vehicle is in SERVICE(we have the email proof). Mr. John Dennis, responded with…The vehicle has been picked up, I can prove you with the BOL. The vehicle arrives and has engine noise, multiple light on the dash and damage. We called AAA Dallas and they said it had to be inspected by AAA. So we transported it to the nearest AAA. I followed up with the nearest AAA and they said I had to speak with the originating auction. I called AAA Dallas and they only thing they wanted to talk about was payment. The lady asked how we got the vehicle (it was a pick up at dealership, says so on the deal). She said we couldn’t start an arbitration until after it was paid. We are reluctant to pay for a vehicle with engine noise and array of issues. This isn’t the 1st time we’ve had issues with AMERICA’S AUCTION AUCTIONS.
****It’s good for EVERYONE TO KNOW that Manheim says they CANNONT make Independent auctions follow Manheim rules,(like the $500 seller withdraw fee) yet they ALLOW THEM to sell through OVE (so they can grab the fee money) and we dealers are FORCED to just have to deal with whatever, without any source of protections. Perhaps we should start a NEW ASSOCIATION THAT IS TRULY ON THE DEALERS SIDE AND FIGHTS FOR OUR RIGHTS TO BUY GOOD VEHICLES and not be stuck with vehicles that are fixed just enough to run through the lanes.

This is was fully resolved yesterday…only took 22 days but I’m glad we’re out of it.
