  • I purchased a 2013 Honda Accord and later sold it at Manheim in November 2025.
In February 2026, Manheim reopened the transaction and arbitrated the vehicle due to a title issue. The title provided at purchase from the Greer location had been voided because a new title had been issued, which was not disclosed at the time of sale.
As a result, I was held responsible for reimbursing Manheim, including the buyer’s transportation costs.
I attempted to resolve the issue with the Greer location (office manager Suzanne Burr), but the case was not addressed until I involved legal counsel. Eventually, the selling dealer (Meridien) was required to buy back the vehicle.
However, I was not reimbursed for approximately $1,000 in transportation costs (Greer → Atlanta → New York), which I believe should have been covered given the title issue originated at the point of sale.
I am sharing this experience for transparency and to highlight the importance of title verification at purchase.
