COMPLAINT FILED 05/28/2026
Tiffany S.
This vehicle was arbitrated for issues do to the engine. The auction is trying to say that one problem is not over $800 which the problem will be way over that price. Expeditions are known for these timing issues and cost will be way more then $800 for a fix for this.
The codes in the system are as follow –
P0015 ( B Camshaft position timing over-retarded bank 1)
P0017 ( crankshaft position camshaft position correlation bank 1)
P0300 ( random/multiple misfire)
P0301 (Cylinder 1 misfire)
P0302 (cylinder 2 misfire)
a new code that popped up while it being at the auction for almost a month was P0316 as well.
This vehicle cant even been driven far at all before it cuts completely off on you as well. This is the reason why I buy vehicles under green light because I want to be protected over major issues like this. I even asked if I took it to a Ford Dealership and got it properly diagnosed if I could send them what they say to look into it and they said there was nothing further that can be done on this vehicle, that it was closed.
No one will speak to me on the phone about this problem either, just through email. They are trying to give me a $350 discount on a buy fee, this is bad business.
Auction Response Received – Unresolved
The auction responded within the allotted timeframe and stated that the vehicle was inspected twice by certified NAAA inspectors. According to the auction, the condition did not meet the arbitration threshold required under NAAA/OVE guidelines, and the arbitration decision remains final. No additional remedy was offered, and the parties did not reach a mutually acceptable resolution. Therefore, this complaint remains unresolved.
