I was bidding on a pop up camper #CL54 on Friday. When this unit came up the auctioneer actually skipped it and proceeded to the next unit. I messaged the block clerk asking if they were going to run this unit. They then backed up to this unit and opened the bidding up. I immediately placed a bid with no delay what so ever. The auctioneer then retracted my bid and sold to the in lane bidder for $2900. The auctioneer did not remotely attempt to keep the bidding open on this unit and get real money from another bidder. I have never seen an auctioneer open and close the bidding so quickly. It appears very shady on how this unit was auctioned off and negatively affects me as a buyer as well as the seller because I was willing to pay much more then the high bid of $2900. What makes matters even worse, I drove over the week before to attend the live auction and actually look at this unit so I could confidently bid on it online the next week. Now I am out hotel and travel expense for nothing. I would appreciate if someone would investigate what actually took place here as it will make me second guess my decision to attend this auction online in the future.
